Fixing radios

As everybody knows a gauge invariance is the only thing that needs to be fixed if it is not broken. So broken radios should be fixed. Here is a nice article about how this problem would be approached by an experimental biologist that somebody posted to a noticeboard here at IUB. You could read some analogies to string theory into it but you could also just read it for fun.
